The Krasnodar Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (ROTPD) of Chernomortransneft successfully completed scheduled defect elimination efforts at the Krymsk – Krasnodar oil trunk pipeline (OTP).
Four linear portion defects were eliminated by replacing the damaged section of the trunk pipeline during its scheduled shutdown. Those defects used to restrict the OTP operation and oil delivery to Afipsky Refinery. The measures were held in two phases and took 48 hours altogether.
In May 2017, the Krasnodar ROTPD professionals performed a set of hydraulic testing operations (for strength and leakage) in sections of the Tikhoretsk – Novorossiysk-1 OTP. The hydraulic testing was followed by water displacement from the pipeline and inspection of the sections. The measures to eliminate the defects detected during inspections have been underway at the moment.
