Date of publication: 01 October 2018 Print

Within the scope of its technical upgrading and revamping programme, Chernomortransneft has completed replacement of a 10 kV factory-assembled switchgear (FASG) at Sulak PS affiliated with Tikhoretsk Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (Tikhoretsk ROTPD) in Khasavyurt, the Republic of Daghestan.

The switchgear supplies power to main pump units, packaged transformer substations and auxiliary equipment. The FASG is fitted with up-to-date equipment: vacuum circuit breakers, microelectronic controller-based automation and relay protection.

The FASG building is made of energy efficient sandwich panels and has its own climate control system, which, in its turn, enables to enhance energy efficiency, drastically curtail the costs of heating in winter and costs of air conditioning in summer. Commissioning of the equipment will allow to substantially increase functioning reliability of the power supply system at Sulak PS.
