Chernomortransneft has received a positive conclusion from the Rostov branch of the Main Department of State Expertise Federal Autonomous Institution (Glavgosexpertiza) for reconstruction of the Krymsk – Krasnodar oil trunk pipeline (OTP).
After studying the provided materials, experts of the Rostov branch of Glavgosexpertiza of Russia came to the conclusion that the results of engineering surveys as well as the technical part of the project and working documentation meet the requirements of the current standards of the Russian Federation and the regulations of Transneft. As a result, a positive conclusion was issued.
The project provides for the replacement of 21.54 km of the Krymsk – Krasnodar OTP. Also, a PIG trap will be built, and five stop valve units (SVUs) will be reconstructed at Krymskaya LODS to maintain the new pipeline section. According to the design documentation, the new section of the oil pipeline will be laid in a trench in the existing process corridor. The reconstruction will be carried out without changing the existing scheme of oil pumping through the Krymsk – Krasnodar OTP.
The design documentation was prepared by Giprotruboprovod Institute for Trunk Pipeline Design. The reconstruction of the Krymsk – Krasnodar OTP is to be completed in November 2019.
The Krymsk – Krasnodar oil trunk pipeline was put into operation in 1955; it belongs to the increased responsibility level class of facilities. Its throughput capacity is 3.8 million tonnes per year. The reconstruction of the Krymsk – Krasnodar OTP will be implemented in compliance with the requirements of environmental, industrial and fire safety as well as energy efficiency standards.
