Chernomortransneft has completed construction of five metering units of Oil Quantity and Quality Metering System (OQQMS) at the Lisichansk – Tikhoretsk-1,2 and the Krymsk – Krasnodar oil trunk pipelines (OTPs) as well as at Sheskharis TSC.
Two dynamic OQQMSs were built at Rodionovskaya oil pumping station (PS) at the pont of entry of the Lisichansk – Tikhoretsk-1,2 pipelines. They are intended for automated identification of quality indicators and for accounting of the commercial oil arriving through the oil trunk pipelines. Another dynamic OQQMS was built at Krymskaya line operation dispatcher station (LODS) to monitor the total amount of raw materials transferred to the Ilsky, Afipsky and Krasnodar refineries. Two more commercial OQQMSs were put into operation at Sheskharis transshipment complex (TSC) to measure the quantity and quality of oil loaded for export.
Dynamic oil quantity and quality metering units are used for monitoring the oil moving within an enterprise in real-time, while commercial ones are designed to account for raw materials during commodity transactions involving third parties.
In addition, dynamic OQQMSs at Tikhoretskaya oil transshipment depot, Krymskaya LODS and Sulak oil pumping station (PS) were equipped with sulphur meters within Chernomortransneft’s comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping, and overhaul programme. The sulphur meters will monitor sulphur content in the oil supplied via the Malgobek – Tikhoretsk, the Tikhoretsk – Novorossiysk-2 and the Baku – Tikhoretsk OTPs, respectively. Also, by the end of this year, the commercial OQQMS at Sheskharis TSC will be redesigned to monitor diesel fuel loaded onto sea vessels.
