Chernomortransneft has performed scheduled repairs at oil trunk pipelines (OTP), line operation dispatcher stations (LODS) and oil pumping stations.
At the Tikhoretsk – Novorossiysk-2 oil pipeline, 9 plugs with substandard inwards protrusion were eliminated, and midlife repairs of a gate valve were carried out. At the Lisichansk – Tikhoretsk-1 oil trunk pipeline, two constructed sections with the total length of 7.1 km were connected, and hydraulic testing of a PIG trap was carried out. A gate valve at the standby leg of the underwater crossing of the oil pipeline via the Sosyka River was repaired. In addition, two defects were cut out at the Sukhodolnaya – Rodionovskaya OTP. As part of the scheduled works at the oil pipelines, 167 gate valves were checked for airtightness and complete opening and closing.
The measures were carried out during a scheduled 72-hour shutdown of oil transportation through the oil trunk pipelines.
The scheduled works were also carried out at the Tikhoretskaya, Krymskaya line operation dispatcher stations and the Rodionovskaya, Kushchevskaya, Novovelichkovskaya and Tarasovskaya oil pumping stations. To prevent pipeline rupture in cases of overpressure at the Krymskaya LODS, four spring pressure relief valves were replaced and one was additionally installed. Midlife repairs of gate valves were performed, and a microprocessor-based automation system was repaired, technological protection systems of the PS were checked.
205 specialists of the Tikhoretsk and Krasnodar Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorates, as well as of the Sheskharis oil transshipment complex, were involved in the repairs, 120 pieces of equipment were used. All the works were carried out as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme implemented by Chernomortransneft in order to ensure uninterrupted and safe operation of oil trunk pipelines.
At present, the oil trunk pipelines and oil pumping stations are operating under the standard protocol, oil transportation is carried out as per schedule.
